Warehouse Shipment Handler
Job Summary of Warehouse Shipment Handler:
It is your duty to engage in varied warehouse tasks, which include selecting, packaging, organizing, delivering, receiving, and managing inventory levels. This position is focused on ensuring the accurate and proficient processing of orders while adhering to safety guidelines and quality measures.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Warehouse Shipment Handler:
- Study production plans, customer orders, or shipping mandates to figure out essential stock relocations.
- Move products and materials between receiving or production areas and designated storage spots.
- Organize and classify items according to their Stock Keeping Unit, volume, and classification.
- Carry out the operation of electric pallet jacks and stand-up forklifts with safety and efficiency in mind.
- Engage in efficient communication practices with recipients, drivers, check-in persoel, and forklift handlers.
- Uphold safety regulations for truck and trailer loading and unloading procedures.
- Ensure the appropriate use and maintenance of all company-provided equipment, including PPE and voice-activated technology.
- Timely reporting of safety concerns in the workplace is crucial.
- Ensure you are dressed in the company-issued uniform as per the requirement.
- Put together customer shipments and ensure they are set for dispatch.
- Affix labels to pallets as per instructions.
- Loosen wraps, crates, and storage units as necessary.
- Maintain precise records of the materials that have been both received and distributed.
Qualifications and Experience of Warehouse Shipment Handler:
- A GED or high school diploma is compulsory for this opportunity.
- The position necessitates one to three months of related experience and/or training, or a similar balance of education and hands-on expertise.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience working with warehouse equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
