Job Duties and Responsibilities of Customer Service/Sales Representative:
- Acquire fresh business opportunities, cultivate established client connections, and mitigate customer churn to realize sustainable sales expansion in allocated area.
- Search and evaluate potential customers based on the stratification criteria set by Sysco.
- Conduct research on the specific needs of customers’ businesses and propose appropriate solutions in terms of products and services.
- Stay abreast of market dynamics, advancements in products, and the pricing and sales strategies of competitors.
- Furnish product knowledge and offer training opportunities for customer employees.
- Drive personal car to attend customer locations, industry events, and internal company meetings.
- Reach out to customers for the collection of accounts receivable.
- Supervise the distribution of packages and handle any challenges that occur while orders are being fulfilled.
- Take part in Sysco events, promotions, and activities for clients.
- It is essential to be present at company-wide sales and local district meetings.
- Take part in regular training sessions.
- Aid in the orientation of fresh recruits to the company’s policies and procedures.
- Fulfill administrative responsibilities, including compiling sales budgets, keeping records, and archiving reports.
- Tasks as designated by authorities.
Qualifications and Experience of Customer Service/Sales Representative:
- A degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a similar area of study is necessary, or individuals can opt for a High School Diploma or GED along with three years of relevant experience in Restaurant Management, B2B, or external sales.
- Proficient in two languages and possessing a history of managing restaurants, engaging in sales for food service outside the usual context, or working as a chef.
- An active driver’s license without any infractions and recent auto insurance coverage is necessary.
- Candidates must be open to relocating or already reside in the local area associated with the vacant position, as a prerequisite for consideration.
- Foundational knowledge of computer operations, mastery of MS Office software, and effective English communication skills.
