Your position involves carrying out various warehouse operations, including picking, packing, sorting, shipping, receiving, and managing inventory. This role is essential for ensuring that orders are handled accurately and promptly while adhering to safety and quality protocols.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Warehouse Sorting Specialist:
- Inspect production timelines, customer orders, or shipping directives to determine necessary stock movements.
- Relocate materials and products from production or receiving zones to assigned storage areas.
- Systematize and segregate products based on their SKU, quantity, and classification.
- Perform the safe and efficient operation of electric pallet jacks and stand-up forklifts.
- Establish effective communication methods with recipients, drivers, check-in staff, and forklift operators.
- Implement safety protocols for the safe loading and unloading of trucks and trailers.
- Treat all equipment provided by the company responsibly, including PPE and voice-operated tools.
- Do not delay in reporting any safety concerns that may arise at work.
- It is necessary to comply with the dress regulations by wearing the designated uniform.
- Collect items requested by customers and get them ready for shipping.
- Attach identification tags to pallets upon request.
- Unwrap bundles, crates, and packages when required.
- Document all materials received and distributed with accuracy.
Qualifications and Experience of Warehouse Sorting Specialist:
- To be eligible, applicants must hold a GED or high school diploma.
- Equivalent to a mix of education and experience, one to three months of relevant training or hands-on learning is required for consideration.
- It is desirable for applicants to have practical knowledge of warehouse machinery, particularly pallet jacks and forklifts.
