Job Summary of Account Manager:

Become a valuable member of Sysco’s top-tier sales team, integral to the promotion of Sysco’s offerings, the cultivation of relationships with new and current customers, and the successful attainment of sales and profit milestones.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Account Manager:

• Drive business development, maintain client engagement, and minimize revenue decline to achieve profitable sales progression in the designated market.
• Find and qualify prospects in accordance with Sysco’s account stratification targets.
• Investigate the specific needs of clientele’s businesses and recommend products and services that are tailored to meet those needs effectively.
• Stay knowledgeable about market developments, product innovations, and the products, pricing, and sales metrics of competitors.
• Impart knowledge about the product and deliver training to customer personnel.
• Drive personal car for visiting customer locations, events, and company meetings.
• Perform tasks related to receiving payment for accounts as required.
• Organize shipments and troubleshoot any complications that arise throughout the delivery process.
• Participate in events, promotions, and customer initiatives by Sysco.
• Do not miss out on attending both general sales and district meetings.
• Participate in ongoing training opportunities.
• Offer guidance and assistance to new employees as they acclimate to their roles.
• Fulfill administrative responsibilities, including compiling sales budgets, keeping records, and archiving reports.
• Additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Experience of Account Manager:

• Qualifications for this role include a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field. Alternatively, candidates without a degree can fulfill the requirements with a High School Diploma or GED and three years of experience in Restaurant Management, Business-to-Business sales, or external sales.
• Fluent in two languages and experienced in restaurant management, outside sales roles within the food service industry, or culinary positions such as a chef.
• An unblemished driving record, along with a valid driver’s license and existing auto insurance, are mandatory requirements.
• Candidates are expected to undergo pre-employment evaluations, such as drug screening and background checks, while also committing to the conditions set forth in the Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement.
• Fundamental PC abilities, advanced familiarity with MS Office tools, and proficiency in English language comprehension and articulation.
