The primary responsibility is to securely and productively move goods along extensive transportation routes. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Carrier Driver:
- Safely transport cargo over extended distances using commercial vehicles.
- Carry out detailed inspections of vehicles prior to departure and upon return to verify compliance and safety.
- Adhere to regulatory standards when documenting information in electronic logs.
- Ensure smooth coordination with dispatch and colleagues to facilitate the delivery process seamlessly.
- Take necessary precautions to prevent damage to the goods by securely fastening the freight.
- Follow regulations at the federal, state, and corporate levels.
Qualifications and Experience of Carrier Driver:
- Individuals must be twenty-one years of age or above.
- Holding an authentic Class A CDL.
- Verifiable over-the-road expertise of at least half a year is necessary.
- No SAP drivers.
