Job Summary of CDL A Local Transport Driver:

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to operate a tractor-trailer safely while delivering a variety of products to our valued customers. Job Duties and Responsibilities of CDL A Local Transport Driver:

• Drive a tractor-trailer safely to distribute a variety of products to customer sites following a designated route timetable.
• Grasp and adhere to safety guidelines to ensure the security of yourself, your coworkers, and the merchandise being transported.
• Maintaining positive associations with customers and becoming well-versed in their operations are vital for consistently meeting their needs and fulfilling their expectations.
• Prior to departure and upon return, thoroughly assess the vehicle to ensure it is operating safely.
• Help with loading and unloading merchandise as needed to ensure that the delivery process is accurate and efficient.
• Ensure that all documentation related to deliveries is accurately maintained, including invoices and receipts.

Qualifications and Experience of CDL A Local Transport Driver:

• Those who have recently finished driving school are eligible to apply.
• The age requirement is a minimum of 21 years.
• Hold a legally obtained CDL Permit.
• Mastery of English language skills for reading, writing, and effective communication.
• Possessing the physical capability to lift, push, or relocate products that weigh between 40 and 60 pounds, with occasional tasks involving items as heavy as 100 pounds.
• Readiness to accommodate overtime, weekend schedules, and holiday shifts as needed.
• Preparedness to take part in a CDL-A training course, understanding and accepting the time away from home that comes with it.
